Intermediate Word concepts and skills will be presented in Mod 2. Students will use templates; create letters, envelopes, and labels; and use styles. Students also will use outlines and headers and footers, create and format tables, work with columns, and use graphic elements in documents.

Using Styles
Students apply, define, modify, and delete styles.
Using Headers and Footers
Students create regular, first-page, and alternating headers and footers, as well as work with page numbering.
Creating and Using Tables
Students draw tables, enter text into table cells, and perform calculations on table data.
Formatting Tables
Students change table column width and row height, format text in tables, and use borders and shading.
Working with Columns
Students insert section breaks, format sections as multiple columns, enter and edit text in columns, format columns, and remove columns and section breaks.
Using Graphic Elements in Documents
Students create and modify lines and objects, use pictures in documents, create watermarks and use borders and shading.
Using charts and diagram elements in Documents
Students insert charts and diagrams and work with the authoring tools to modify the objects.
