Introduction

This is an introductory course designed to teach the student how to use QuickBooks program. Students will learn how QuickBooks handles billing, from invoicing to finance charges, generate estimates, collections, inventory management, invoices, payroll, track time and materials on each job, and produce detailed reports.

This small business accounting package is intended for people who do not have an accounting background. General familiarity with computers and software is assumed, but not accounting specifically.

Students learn how to start QuickBooks, view, navigate, create data files, create and modify accounts, and customize menu items.
Accounts Receivable
Students add and edit information, record payments, build reports, bill, create purchase orders, and print checks.
Reports
Students create and customize reports, pay sales tax agencies, and use QuickReports.
Appendices
Students review the Glossary of Terms, index, answers to review, and additional courseware titles.
Payroll (U.S. Style)
Students learn to set-up a company payroll, maintain current tax tables, write and print payroll checks, and remit payroll liabilities.
